STORE MANAGER
As the Store Manager you will maintain high standards of merchandising, customer care and store cleanliness to create an exceptional, kind, and consistent in-store experience at Annie’s Blue Ribbon General Store. This full-time position offers a Tuesday through Saturday schedule and requires 3-5 years of industry experience, with retail and/or customer service experience a plus. We value adaptability and willingness to jump in where needed in all areas of the business, along with attention to detail. With a competitive salary range of $55,000-$65,000, commensurate with experience. Employment package will include paid time off, profit sharing, and a contribution toward health insurance. DUTIES
Visuals & Receiving Merchandise
- Unpack and manage merchandise receipts in a timely manner and ensure orders are checked in with accuracy, communicating any order discrepancies to the buyer.
- Identify and report any damages to vendors/reps in a timely manner and ensure timely resolution and receipt of credit.
- Follow along with “Concepts Sheet” for direction on merchandising/stories maintaining a visually appealing store layout.
- Proactively identify and address visual merchandising needs to enhance the store's aesthetic appeal and drive sales.
- Assist and manage holiday/themed window installations.
- Partner with management team to complete “Holiday Round Ups” to help improve upon each holiday. Manage packing up carryover merchandise and store in an orderly manner in basement stock area.
- Communicate any in-store signage needs to Brand Manager and assist in coordinating with printshop for pick up and payment.
Staff Management
- Efficiently manage a team of 7+ part-time employees, delegating daily tasks and prioritizing key responsibilities to ensure smooth store operations.
- Maintain/create part time schedule using “When I Work”. Ensure accuracy of hours worked for payroll.
- Actively participate in weekly manager’s meeting with owner and management team. Share any pertinent information from meetings to part-time staff.
- Lead by example by providing exceptional customer service (including assisting customers searching for great gift suggestions!).
- Coach and train part-time staff in all operating procedures, processes, and policies to uphold high standards of performance and customer satisfaction.
Customer Care
- Consistently deliver exceptional customer service in the shop for ALL customers serving as a role model for part-time staff.
- Assist Brand Manager with execution of in-store events (Happy Hour’s, Easter Egg Hunt, Stationery Store Day etc).
- Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers and cultivate new relationships.
- Ensure the part-time team is trained in all processes (returns, exchanges, gift card creation, phone orders, and rewards program) so customer experience is streamlined and efficient.
- Manage customer request book. Make calls to customers waiting for products.
- Curate special gifting packages to sell online (camp, etc)
- Check and respond as needed to store voicemail and general customer service email.
Store Operations
- Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels of store supplies, including bags, tissue paper, stickers, receipt paper, and cleaning supplies.
- Manage window washing and in-store cleaning schedules and payment.
- Communicate effectively with building management via TenantCloud to address any facility-related issues or needs.
- Track petty cash spending in shared Google Doc by month. Manage cash deposits to the bank and maintain proper change on-hand in register.
- Maintain an organized stock space in the office area and basement to assist in ease of finding merchandise and filling in floor.
- Order display fixtures for store and anticipate/identify needs for fixtures.
- Pick online orders and assist in packing as needed.
