Join us for a comprehensive 3-class series designed specifically for beginners to learn how to play Mah Jongg! If you've ever heard about the Charleston, BAMS and cracks and wondered what language your friends were speaking or seen the gorgeous sets in the shop and are curious how to play, these classes are for you! You will learn the basics of gameplay, including what all the tiles mean, setup, and fundamental rules for this exciting social game of strategy and luck. This isn't just a lecture, you'll have hands-on experience shuffling tiles and playing as you learn. No prior knowledge needed!
*Please note these are American Mahjong Classes, we use Jokers!
For your benefit, you should be able to attend ALL 3 CLASSES to get all the hands-on knowledge you need to get started in this fun game!

All classes will be held at the shop (232 5th Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn) and will run from 6:30-8:30 pm. Please arrive at 6:15 for drinks and snacks and to get situated. The class fee includes a 2026 National Mah Jongg League Card and lucky charms. Tiles will be provided for the duration of the classes, no need to bring anything.
Cancellation Policy: Please notify us by Tuesday, July 28th in order to receive a full refund of class fees.
